Product Info

Choosing the right specie of wood for your home is one of the most important decisions to make. Because of their appearance and stability, Eastern White Pine and Western Red Cedar are the "logs of choice" for our customers. Both are kiln dried to achieve a low moisture content, which minimizes log shrinkage. Pine and cedar logs are offered in several different styles and profiles. Other species of wood area available on request.

Our logs have a double tongue and groove that enables a tight fit, which, when combined with our quality sealant, spline joinery, and top of the line fasteners, leaves your home very energy efficient.

Structure members for exposed beam roofs consist of Western Douglas Fir. White Pine and Spruce tongue and groove are used for decking. Many home owners choose to cover interior walls with this decking.

After building the highest quality home available, we add the final touch by applying a top grade exterior and interior protectorant to keep your home looking like you just moved in for years to come.

Log Profiles and Corner Systems

The "D" Style is by far the most popular log profile in the log home market today, probably because the interior is flat and easy to work with. We offer this with the traditional Butt and Pass corner system
"D" Profile Dimensions Available:
6x8H, 6x8 W, 8x8, 6x12
The "chinked" Square log is well received in both the East and West. Our "log on log" design with double tongue and groove is a vast improvement over our earlier American pioneers. Traditionally, this log is hand hewn with a V-groove on the inside. Chinking and hand hewing are interior options as well. The Dovetail corner is a favorite for this log.
Square Profile Dimensions Available: 6x12 or 8x12
The Round/Round log is for those who prefer the rounded look on both the interior and exterior. The corner system is a Mortise and Tenon. Round/Round Profile Dimensions Available: 6x8W, 8x8W

In a neighborhood that frowns on a "log" home, we provide a Beveled log that meets the exterior criteria and still creates the log home interior the homeowner desires. A post corner system might be used.

Beveled Profile Dimensions Available: 6x8H or 6x8W, 8x8

The Full Round log is milled with Swedish cope. The Saddle Notch corner is a must for this log. Full Round Profile Dimensions Available: 8", 10" or 12"
